It has taken 5 seasons but this year we are finally getting the payoff that Smallville Superman fans have been waiting for. Lois Lane and Clark Kent are both working at the Daily Planet, Clark has taken on a superhero disguise and is running around on hero duty and he and Lois have admitted- though not yet to each other- that they are crazy about each other. The recent episode Crossfire gave us an insight into the hearts and minds of both of our beloved characters. Crossfires opens with Lois and Clark on a job interview doing a test piece for Good Morning Metropolis- a local morning talk and news show. They are fun and sweet together and get hired as a team! Clark is not sure about this as he needs to keep his identity a secret from the world but he can’t disappoint Lois.

At the end of the episode Lois and Clark don’t get the job and they are both back at the Daily Planet. Clark makes a huge decision and finally makes a move on Lois Lane- kissing her with the sun shining down on them through a stained glass window illuminating them in a glowing warmth that is fitting for such an iconic moment.

I capped these a while back – here are some samples these are GORGEOUS HD DVD rip 1280x 720 caps from Exposed with everyone- this is the complete episode from Chloe and Lois at the Daily Planet , to Tom Wopat roaring onto the scene in a blue Charger- lots of plaid Kent men action and then onto the big city with Lois and Clark undercover at the strip club, Lois on stage working the pole and then giving Clark a lap dance, finally we have Clark and Lois on the rooftop and then at the Talon at the end.

BuddyTV posted a quick blip with Erica Durance from Smallville earlier this month:

“I think you guys are gonna be pretty excited this year,” Durance exclaimed.  “Lois is dealing with being smitten with Superman and also kind of finding Clark irritating, which I think is a lot of fun.  Giving him a hard time, somebody has to.”

She went on hint at how great season 9 will be.  “It will be really spicy!” Durance said.

This year marked something that has not ever happened before- there were 3 Lois Lanes at Comic Con! Erica Durance was on hand for the Smallville panel at Comic Con this year, but she was not the only one. Teri Hatcher was on hand for the promotion of the stop motion animated 3-D movie Coraline. She was part of the panel discussion and also graciously signed autographs and met stars on the first full day of the convention .

Teri spoke to the press while at the convention- she is really nice when talking about her fans and being there and gives some hints about the pics we saw last week with her and Dana both in the wedding dresses on Desperate Housewives.

Erica and Teri were not alone representing Lois Lane- Margot Kidder was on hand throughout the convention meeting fans and signing autographs. She was one of the bigger draws on the Comic Con floor and really seemed to enjoy meeting her fans. This is my favorite photo of Margot that I found of her at the convention having fun – enjoy!
